Respins

Every time I land a cluster win in Rotiki, the respins feature kicks in instead of symbols dropping away. Winning symbols lock in place while all non winning positions respin, and you start with three respins on the counter. If any new symbols extend the existing cluster or create another winning group, the counter resets back to three, which can keep the feature going for quite a while when the grid gets busy.

Filling an entire horizontal row with winning symbols adds three extra respins straight away, and that is where the slot starts to show its potential for grid coverage. On the better runs I have had several rows solid with the same icon and watched the remaining spaces slowly snap into place. Hanumi works differently, merging separate neighbouring clusters into one larger group and always choosing the highest value symbol type among them. Wilds themselves cannot become the chosen symbol when Hanumi merges, but the merged cluster can suddenly jump to a decent payout level.

Treasure Room Bonus

The Treasure Room Bonus in Rotiki appears when every single position on the 6 by 8 grid is filled with winning symbols. It does not happen often, so hitting it feels like finishing a long little mission started back at the first respin. Any unused respins you carried when the grid filled turn into picks for the Treasure Room board, which consists of 48 face down tiles waiting to be clicked one by one.

Behind those tiles sit four types of outcome. Thirty two are blanks that change nothing, nine increase a win multiplier by one step, six award five extra picks, and one special tile jumps the multiplier straight to the cap of ten times. The feature ends either when you run out of picks or you hit that special tile, and whatever multiplier you have collected then applies to the win that triggered the bonus entry.

In my sessions I have entered the Treasure Room with surprisingly low base wins, sometimes barely over two times stake despite the whole grid being covered. The multipliers can still turn those modest amounts into decent results, especially when you climb towards six or seven times. It feels more like a steady value feature than a life changing one, yet the picking element and the chase for the x10 tile keep it engaging.

Rotiki took a bit of a mindset shift for me. The paytable looks stingy next to other grid slots, and seeing half the panel filled for a tiny return can be jarring at first.
