Mystic Orbs Slot Features and Wild Orbs

Mystic Orbs packs a lot into the Orbs mechanic. Both normal and charged Orbs are wilds and will substitute in winning clusters. If an Orb does not form part of a win, it explodes and removes adjacent symbols, kicking off another Avalanche. At the same time every Orb is collected, and hitting 5 in a sequence is one route into the bonus game. Where they land under the feature row is just as important as the number collected.

The feature row carries up to six different feature symbols. Upgrade turns all instances of one symbol type into higher paying symbols or wilds for up to three Avalanches. Orb Siege copies one of the Orbs neighbours around it, building patterns of matching symbols or wilds. Orb Payout pays a bet multiplier win, while Multiplier increases the global win multiplier. Extra life gives an extra symbol drop when no win shows, and Bonus opens the free drops round.

Mystic Orbs Bonus Game and X-iter

The bonus game in Mystic Orbs can be triggered either by landing 5 Orbs in a base game sequence or by hitting the Bonus symbol in the feature row. I start with 5 free drops, and Orbs continue to be collected during the round. For every 5 Orbs gathered, 5 extra free drops are awarded. The key is that the win multiplier becomes persistent, so it does not reset between drops and can climb to serious levels.

If I want to shortcut the grind, Mystic Orbs also comes with ELKs X iter mode. There are five options. At 5 times the bet I get one drop with a guaranteed Orb and at least one feature. Mystic Orbs feels like classic ELK design to me, just with slightly more restrained visuals than some of their flashier slots. The base game can produce big wins when Orbs start chaining features from the row above, and in the bonus those same features combine with a sticky multiplier to create explosive potential. The RTP is a touch on the low side, but the 10000 times max win and the depth of the mechanics keep me coming back.
