When I first loaded Elemento from Fantasma Games, the theme around earth, wind, fire and water set the tone straight away. This is their first grid slot and they have gone big, with a 7x7 Play Area framed by an outer Element Area that makes the whole thing feel like a 9x9 board. Wins land through cluster pays, avalanches drop in more symbols, and the Element Wilds, free spins and progressive multiplier hold everything together.

Visually, Elemento is cleaner than many Fantasma releases I have played. The backdrop is a simple swirling purple cloud effect, which keeps attention on the grid and the four meters on the left tracking each element. The symbols themselves are bright and cute, giving the game a light, almost confectionery feel. Some will see that as charming, others as a bit plain, but the look never gets in the way of the action.

A win multiplier is added to the free spins feature in Elemento

The real hook in Elemento lies in the Element Area that surrounds the 7x7 Play Area. At the start of each spin, up to six Element Wild symbols can sit in that outer ring. Whenever you land a cluster win without an Element Wild involved, the game may create a new one there. After every successful avalanche, all Element Wilds move one step clockwise, giving them new chances to connect with the inner grid.

Each Element Wild is tied to one of the four elements and has its own modifier. Demolition, linked to earth, picks one to four low paying symbols and removes all instances from the Play Area, letting fresh symbols fall in. Tornado, linked to wind, targets one or two symbols and either clears all adjacent symbols or turns them into matching ones. Both can completely change a screen that otherwise looked like a dead spin.

Fire Wild lives up to its name by dropping between two and ten extra wilds into the Play Area before a fresh win check. X Flood, tied to water, chooses an X shaped pattern of nine symbols and turns them into the same symbol, which can even happen twice from one trigger. When all four elements have been activated in a spin cycle, you are awarded free spins with a growing win multiplier. It starts with five free spins plus one per Element Wild, can retrigger, and the multiplier climbs one step after each avalanche up to x99.

Elemento is very much a high variance experience. In my sessions I have had long stretches where avalanches fizzle out for tiny returns, sometimes after ten seconds of animation for half a stake back. Then another run will turn into a lengthy chain of cluster wins fuelled by Demolition and Tornado clearing low symbols. That ebb and flow will suit players who enjoy watching a grid slowly build towards something meaningful.

Where Elemento really opens up is in free spins once the multiplier starts stacking. Every avalanche adds plus one, and when Fire Wild or X Flood land on top of that, even modest clusters can jump a balance far faster than you expect. Combined with the 16,000 times max win, it feels like a game built for those happy to take the rough with the smooth in search of occasional huge hits.

Elemento: Slot Verdict

From a player point of view, Elemento does not try to rewrite how grid slots work, yet it stitches its pieces together with real confidence. The Element Area, four modifiers and avalanche chains blend into a package that keeps me coming back when I want volatile cluster action. The pace can drag and the visuals will not please everyone, but the mix of RTP, bonus buy and potential makes it well worth a spin.
