Theme & Graphics in 7x7 Thor

The backdrop in 7x7 Thor grabs me straight away, with a golden frame set against snow capped mountains, drifting clouds and a soft aurora in the distance. Thor stands to the left in heavy armour clutching Mjolnir, while the reels show wolves, ships, axes and drinking horns. The whole thing sits somewhere between comic book and epic fantasy, and the visuals run smoothly even when the grid stretches to a full 7x7.

That said, the presentation in 7x7 Thor does not carry the same weight as some heavier hitting Norse titles I have played. The backdrop can feel like a neat film set rather than a living world, so I never quite lost myself in it.
